after all that

so we are starting to approach the end of the new years resolution that I made myself at the beginning of the year and with that comes a bit nostalgia.

That is why I have decided to springle this last month with a few remakes of your (and my) favorite drawings, starting with this one.

Granded this is not the exact same picture, as a matter of fact, they are quite a few different, but it is the same subject matter and the first show of my improvement. The original picture was my first and only comission. I was payed to draw my brother and his band for the cover of their second (or third, i’m not sure) Mixtape. To be honest I kind of loathed the assignment at the time, not that the money was a problem or that I didn’t want to help, but I have had so much trouble drawing my brother throughout my drawing career, I just didn’t want to fail again.

This new drawing was done as part of power hour and was meant to be an exercise in facial features as well as an exercise in comparison. The fact that I only used 30 minutes on this drawing and was quite rough with the subject matter gave me the freedom to not think and just do. That is why I am proud to say that my brother has this potrit as his facebook profile picture right now.
