first day

I have to be honest, this particular drawing has very little to do with the story of my trip to and first day in Amsterdam. sadly this is the best thing I have been able to draw all day, so please bear with me.

as some of you might have noticed from yesterdays post, I have spend some of the time in Amsterdam enjoying some of the local herb. As a matter of fact this was one of the first thing I told my friend I wanted to do when I finally got of the bus after 12 hours.

So here is the advice i can give you to cope with 12 ours in a bus:

- pack copius amounds of snacks

- make sure you have a good audio book on your Ipod (the hunger games)

- try and sleep as much as you can

- try not to get too annoyed every-time the buss-driver stops to take on more passengers.

other than that I can’t help you.

I spend most of yesterday just getting re-acquainted with the city. I really do love Amsterdam. The architecture is one of a kind and unlike other European cities it has managed to blend the street culture with the historical significance of the city. This makes for a city that seems young and old all at the same time, and for a city that is something to brag about.

after seeing the city I back to my friend and ate a pot-laced muffin. There is nothing like ending the day toppled over in unexplained laughter.
